Hey everybody, Cooper here from etrailer. Today we're going to be taking a look at the Yakima EXO system, including our enclosed cargo box and our cargo basket here on our 2022 Dodge Durango. Now the EXO system is going to be a very customizable platform that has a lot of different attachments to suit your needs. And the configuration that we have here today, it is really just set up for carrying as much cargo as we can, in addition to what we can fit into our Durango. Now in this specific configuration, our box on the bottom is going to have a capacity of 100 pounds, and our basket here up top is going to have a capacity of 80 pounds. Swagman Expanse Cargo Carrier Review - 2022 Dodge Durango- Video
Hi, Matt with etrailer. And today we're gonna be talking about the Swagman Expanse Cargo Carrier on the back of a 2022 Dodge Durango. This carrier can support about 400 pounds which is a little bit less than some of our other options. So when I stand up here trying to stand in the center not on the mesh itself, the vehicle kind of goes down a little bit, but not too much. So I think it's gonna perform pretty well with this cargo carrier. As for the mesh, if you put weight down on it directly, you're gonna notice a lot more give than if it was gonna be on the bar itself. more

Flint Hill Goods Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2022 Dodge Durango- Video
Hi, Matt here with etrailer. Today we're gonna be talking about the Flint Hill Goods steel compact cargo carrier, on the back of a 2022 Dodge Durango. Some of the features of this compact cargo carrier is that it can still hold the 500 pounds, just like most of our other cargo carriers. And, the vehicle's barely going down so it's interacting very nicely with it. So that's a a plus for it. And the back of it is, since it's compact, it's not gonna extend out nearly as far as a lot of other cargo carriers. more

Flint Hill Goods Hitch Mounted Aluminum Cargo Carrier Review - 2022 Dodge Durango- Video
Hi Matt here with etrailer. Today we're gonna be talking about our Flint Hills good aluminum cargo carrier on the back of the 2022 Dodge Durango. As for the capabilities of this cargo carrier, it's about a medium sized cargo carrier that can handle about 500 pounds. So if I get in the back of it, I'm about 250 pounds, just under, and the vehicle barely shifts down, so the vehicle handles it very nicely as well. As for putting anything inside the cargo carrier, the walls are pretty short on it, they're pretty shallow, so this would be a great cargo carrier for anything like bags or anything that might kind of spill over just a little bit. As for the dimensions, it's gonna be about 48 inches in an interior of the width, just over 21 inches for the length, and then on the bottom here we have just under 12 inches. more

Hi, I'm Matt with etrailer, and today we're gonna be talking about the Flint Hill Goods aluminum cargo carrier on the 2022 Dodge Durango. This medium-sized cargo carrier is gonna be able to handle 500 pounds. So that's perfect if you have anything heavy you wanna keep outside your vehicle and not inside the back. If I get inside of it, you can see I'm just under 250 pounds, and that's handling pretty well. Now, if we look at the dimensions of it, the width is gonna be about 47 1/4 inches, and the length is gonna be about 20 1/2 inches, depth just under six inches. As for tie down, tying anything down, now, really, we have a lot of spots that work great for that, you know, like even this aluminum is still gonna be, is still really sturdy. more

Car carriers a good option to have if you overload your Durango, you don't want certain equipment in there, maybe muddy or sweaty sports gear, you can put out here and it makes less of a mess on the car carrier than does on the inside. I always like that, 'cause you can spray this off far easier then detail on the inside of your car. One of the nice things about this version of the car carrier is it's gonna be aluminum, so that means it's lightweight. The bigger these get, sometimes the heavier they are. more

You see I got this cooler to give you a sense of how much space you actually have in the cargo carrier, but maybe you could put some sports equipment back here, muddy or snowy gear that you don't want to make a mess on the inside of your Durango. Much easier to clean this cargo carrier out than the inside. So if you get dirt or mud on there, you can just spray it off the hose, or it falls through here and it's not a problem. more

So, our cargo carrier here could be an excellent reason to have some external storage or if you're going to the hardware store, picking up things like mulch, manure, maybe starting a spring project and we don't want that potentially to bust open on the inside and get our Durango dirty, again, this is a excellent option for keeping that outside your car while having a way to transport it. Now, our cargo carrier is weight rated for 500 pounds, which means I have no problem thinking that I can confidently stand within this basket. more

So our cargo carrier offers an excellent opportunity to carry things like luggage outside. Maybe if you're going to a hardware store, picking up a bag of mulch or even fertilizer and you don't wanna risk that ripping open into your vehicle, you can carry it out here a lot easier. Now our cargo carrier is weight rated for 500 pounds so there's a big variety of different things that you'd be able to carry in it. While it's important to know what your cargo basket is rated for, also make sure you know what your hitch is rated for because if your hitch is rated for under what the basket is, you wanna make sure you're going from your lowest component. more

MaxxTow Wheelchair Carrier with Ramp Review - 2017 Dodge Grand Caravan- Video
Today on our 2017 Dodge Grand Caravan, we're going to be taking a look at the MaxxTow 30 x 50 wheelchair carrier with a 60-inch-long ramp, for two-inch hitches only, part number MT702460. This is what the carrier's going to look like once it's installed on your vehicle. Right now we have it in the position you would have it if you're actually hauling your wheelchair or whatever it is you're carrying in your carrier. This does have a 500-pound carrying capacity. It has this mesh flooring here, as well as the ramp, and that's going to make it easier to clean. We also have tie-down points all around the cargo carrier for your ratchet straps or your bungee cords. We also have reflectors on the end as well. Let's go ahead and show you how it unfolds. more

MaxxTow Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2012 Dodge Charger- Video
All right today on this 2012 Dodge Charger, we're going to show you the max tail cargo carrier with the 60 inch pivoting ramp, part #MT70275. Let's start our test fit by putting it into our hitch of our Charger. Even though most of it is constructed from aluminium, it's actually a good idea to have an extra set of hands to install it because it does get quite close to the car. Once we have it in place, go ahead and install the included hitch pin and clip. So you reach in through the cargo carrier for easy access to your pin. So go ahead and tighten the anti-rattle device. We just slide this up against the hitch and we'll go ahead and use a 16mm socket and wrench to tighten these bolts up and that'll take up some of the play with the cargo carrier. We'll tighten these two fasteners down and that will set them in place and lock them in. This time we'll use a 16mm wrench. With the anti-rattle device, we can see it takes a lot of movement so we shouldn't have too much problem with this working up against the bumper. more

MaxxTow Wheelchair Carrier with Ramp Review - 2014 Dodge Grand Caravan- Video
Today on our 2014 Dodge Grand Caravan, we'll be test fitting the Maxxtow 30 x 50 wheelchair carrier, part number MT70260. We'll begin our test fit by sliding the shank of the carrier into the opening of the hitch, we'll secure it with a pin and clip and then using a wrench tighten down the two silver bolts to engage the anti-rattle device. With the carrier secured, we'll go over a couple of clearance measurement to see how the two fit together. We have about nine and one-half inches of ground clearance. Closest part of the carrier to the closest part of the vehicle is about a quarter of an inch and we have added about nine inches to the overall length of our vehicle. When using the anti-rattle device, the top portion of the silver bracket does come in contact with the bottom of the rear bumper fascia. We'll now go ahead and lower the platform. We'll do this by pulling the silver pin at the base of the bike rack and tilting the platform down. more

The closest part of the carrier to the closest part of the vehicle is about a quarter of an inch away. We've added about 26 inches to the overall length of our Grand Caravan. Now, in this particular model, the exhaust does exit on the passenger's side and is tilted downward, about six inches away. more

We can now pull-up on the orange handle and tilt the platform down. With the carrier in this position, we have about 17" of ground clearance at the rear. more

We'll pull the silver pin at the base of the carrier to pull the platform down and continue to slide the shank of the carrier into the opening of the hitch. We'll secure it with a pin and clip and go over some clearance measurements. We have about 18 inches of ground clearance at the rear of the carrier. Closest part of the carrier to the closest part of the vehicle is about 4 inches away and we've added about 36 1/2 inches to the overall length of our Grand Caravan. We'll begin our test fit by sliding the shank of the carrier into the opening of the hitch. We'll thread in our anti-rattle bolt and then tighten it down using a wrench. With the carrier secured, we'll go over a couple clearance measurements to see how the two fit together. We have about twelve inches of ground clearance at the rear of the carrier. The closest part of the carrier to the closest part of the vehicle is about three-quarters of an inch away, and we've added about twenty and a quarter inches to the overall length of our Grand Caravan. Now on this model, the exhaust does exit on the passenger side and points downward about seven inches away. Therefore, it would be alright to carry heat sensitive materials on this cargo carrier. The cargo door does break over the surface of the carrier at about fourteen inches. That will complete today's test fit for the Curt cargo carrier, part number C18145, on our 2014 Dodge Grand Caravan. . more

Today on our 2013 Dodge Dart, we'll be test-fitting the Curt 20X48 cargo carrier, part number C18145. To install the cargo carrier, we'll begin by sliding the shank of the cargo carrier into the hitch. We'll line up our hitch pinhole and then install and tighten down our anti-rattle bolt. This makes our cargo carrier secure to our vehicle. At this point, we'll go over a few clearance measurements.We have a ground clearance of 9 1/2 inches, and the closest part of the carrier to the closest part of the rear of the vehicle is about half an inch. We've added 21 inches to the overall length of our vehicle and the exhaust on the dart exits the driver side. more

Today on our 2013 Dodge Durango, we'll be test fitting the Surco 24x60 Cargo Carrier for 2-inch hitches, part number 52018. Now to begin our test fit, we'll slide the cargo carrier shank into the hitch, line up the hitch pin hole, and install our hitch pin. We can then put the clip on the other side of the pin which will secure our cargo carrier to the vehicle. We can now go ahead and give you a few measurements. From the closest point of our cargo carrier to the back of the vehicle is 4 inches and the cargo carrier itself will add an additional 29-1/2 inches of overall length to the vehicle. Our ground clearance here at the back of the carrier is 12-1/2 inches and the exhaust on this vehicle does exit the passenger's side here at the rear bumper. more

Now to begin our test fit, we'll slide the cargo carrier shank into the hitch, line up the hitch pin hole, and install the anti-rattle bolt. With our bolt tight, our cargo carrier is secured to the vehicle. We'll now go ahead and give you a few measurements. With the platform in the stored position, from the closest point over the platform to the back of the vehicle is 5-1/2 inches. Ground clearance is 13 inches. more

Now to begin our test fit using the included adapter for the two inch hitch well slide our cargo carrier shank into the hitch, line up the hitch pin hole, and install and tighten down the 00:00:19 bolt. With the bolt tight our cargo carriers secured to the vehicle. Well now go ahead and give you a few measurements. From the closest point of the cargo carrier to the back of the vehicle is two and a half inches, and this cargo carrier will add an additional 22 inches to the overall length of the vehicle itself. Our ground clearance here at the back of the cargo carrier is 12.5 inches. more
